Wyatt Holden from Jonny’s Gym in Ardsley forced a standing eight count against Rotherham Unity’s Harley Saeed on his way to a unanimous decision win and the Yorkshire title.

Hoyle Mill southpaw Josh Green was also a decision winner. He controlled the contest against Witter’s Sam Noble.

Host club, Micky’s Athletic, had a winner too with Kodi Thorpe picking up a confidence-boosting victory against Witter’s Musa Hussain.

He forced a standing eight count against the taller youngster on his way to the win.

Micky’s Kai Spencer just ran out of steam in his decision reversal against Riley’s Alfie Hall as standing eight counts were exchanged in a thrilling bout.

Barnsley Star’s Charlie Hardcastle, namesake and relative to the town’s first ever British champion, went down to a decision defeat to Sherez Henderson from Selby.

Micky’s Kiegan Platter lost to Nathan Kent of Highfields.

Three local youngsters featured in skills bouts, where there is no result.

Micky’s Millie Welham coped with southpaw Ellie Rigg, from Birkenhead Venture, well.

Louie Kerry, from Micky’s, also had a southpaw in Zach Eaves of nearby Wath Amateur Boxing Club.

Barnsley Star’s Layton Ellis, a southpaw himself, sharpened up his skills against Redcar’s Nicholas Haynes.
